Profile
The Corcovado Foundation was founded in 1996 by interested neighbors in the Corcovado National Park, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Our founding project consisted of working with the Osa Conservation Area (ACOSA), organizing patrols and ranger stations in the biodiverse zone surrounding the national park, which greatly reduced illegal hunting and logging.
We are conservation leaders in the area, with an excellent reputation in our volunteer programs and our commitment has a practical approach towards the guidance of communities for the protection of the environment.
Our Mission
We strive to increase the protection of wilderness areas, the promotion of environmental education, sustainable tourism and the participation of communities through the sustainable use of natural resources in the South Pacific zone of Costa Rica.
